Renewed my subscription sometime in November; noticed they upped the price to $50. I'm a bit irked honestly; you could've bought 5 years of subscription or something like that the last year. Should've done it back then. Oh well.
Have been extremely busy with real life these last few months, and had a major family issue clear up in mid-October. Have been slowly settling back into a routine since then, but its still been very hectic. One by one things are getting done and I'm getting to a point that I can take a breath.
Formalities out of the way, my Michiko Bates book is done! It's been a long two years of production, but it finally hit Amazon Kindle Cyber Monday. dA's been the last place to update this wonderful news, and I truly do apologize for that. I am repeatedly daunted by the thousands of messages every time I visit and don't do anything; I suppose it'll be time to sit down and clean the thing out over the holidays.
But I digress; you can check out my book here: www.amazon.com/dp/B018P1LUI6
Otherwise, finished putting up Christmas decorations. Life is proceeding so far. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!

Heather in Wharftown - Collab
Well, haven't posted one of these things in forever. After some commenting swaps here and there, I happened to come across this piece by @CapnDeek373 . It caught my attention somehow, and a half-joke of my nosy brunette poking around the place resulted in an 11,000 world tale with granted permission. I just got it done last night, and was recommended I post a journal about it due to wonky literature posting tools. So here we are! The general premise is my Heather and Janus characters find an interdimensional door to his setting, and start to uncover the secrets of Wharftown. While short, it was mostly a short project to delve into the art piece beyond the illustration, and let people follow that with a character. I get writing practice and some illustrations to draw out of it, and honestly enjoyed it. :painter: It's currently hosted on my blog, and if uploading issues are solved I'll get it stuck up here when able. You can go ahead and read it here:
I Recently Lost what made dA Special to Me
So this past week I discovered a feature that deviantART implemented on their site. I don't know when this got changed, but it certainly was between this summer and now. What is this feature, you may ask? Removal of notifications over a year old, or if you have more than 10,000, that the older ones go. You can save your comments if they're important to you, but you *have to know the feature exists*, otherwise you can't save them. I lost a decade worth of comments and replies that I counted on deviantART to keep, just as it always did for 15 years for me. Stuff I said I'd follow up on one day when I hit a point, old forum posts links, replies from friends back in 2006. All of that, gone. Not going to lie, my holidays are partially ruined. That was my pastime for December; spend hours and hours going through my old faves and comments out of nostalgia, shooting an occasional message to someone in that thread. Or reconstructing a chain of events. It's not enough that
A Final Beacon at the End of an Era
I've been meaning to leave a journal entry in the past couple of years to update you, but I honestly didn't want to lose the starry journal skin that I had. But as they're changing the skin and layout tomorrow, I figured it wouldn't matter anyway.
There's a few things I want to say, mostly to give an update and to let you know I"m not dead. I've not been doing good IRL wise the past few years, especially after 2016 when I got laid off from my job. Getting back on my feet has been an extremely long journey, no thanks to the election and my geographic location. There is a personal matter that I don't want to talk about that had to play in this

So its been awhile. >.>;;
While I was away, I was busy with quite a few things. Dawnstar was one of them. I am still completing it, but should be out in September.
With that, the game is now going through the Steam Greenlight process.

Vote, tell your neighbor, tell your friends. The greater interest it has, the faster it gets on Steam (it's a vote-based system). Been working on this thing for quite awhile now, am very glad its finally at this point, and so close to being released. Especially the guys that helped me out with this, thank you so much.
I know I've been sil
